Terms and Conditions
The holiday cottage is usually let for complete weeks from 3pm on Saturday to 10am on the following Saturday. We need this time to clean the cottage in preparation for the next guests.
Please enquire about alternative arrangements and short breaks.
We have a strict no smoking policy in the cottage.
Reservations must be confirmed in writing (letter or email). Payments are in advance by cheque. We will ask for a deposit of 50% of the amount on booking, with the balance payable two months before your holiday starts. If there is less than two months to go before your holiday starts when you book, we will ask for the full amount to be paid at the time of booking.
A reservation, once confirmed in writing by us, constitutes a contract, which renders the person booking liable for the payment of the full cost.
In the event of a cancellation, which must be in writing, we will only waive the charges due if we are able to re-let the cottage for the relevant period.
The client is liable for any damage to the cottage or its contents. A returnable security deposit of £100 is payable on booking and is returned to you after your stay, less any damage to contents or fittings. If there is any evidence of smoking, the deposit will be forfeit in full.
No more than the number of persons stated at the time of your booking may occupy the cottage.
Dogs may stay in the cottage on the condition that they are house-trained and that they are kept off the furniture. An additional returnable deposit of £50 per dog is payable. This will be returned to you after your stay, less any damage to contents or fittings. Dogs should not be left in the cottage unattended and should be kept on a lead within the garden.
No liability is accepted for loss or damage suffered while occupying the cottage unless it is a result of our own negligence. While we do our best to make sure that the information about local attractions and other information on this website is up to date, we take no responsibility for the accuracy of the information on other websites to which links are provided.
